posts videos to share the joy of the completed Missions as well as to provide you with the information you need to:

A) Increase your awareness of healthcare and rehabilitation
(knowledge is absolutely power in the medical world!)
B) Be prepared when illness or disability comes
(no more being reactive when it comes to our health - let's become proactive together)
C) Advocate for yourself or a loved one throughout hospitalization and recovery
(know the right questions to ask, know how to help)

What Happens After an Amputation?

I've laid out a bit of the typical timeline following an amputation here but everyone is unique, right?  So everyone's timeline will be different...but hopefully this video gives you a frame of reference :)

2 bonus knowledge nuggets gained from this video:  1.  What do you call a limb after an amputation?  Residual limb.  And 2.  What is it called when you feel painful sensations that seem to be coming from the limb that is no longer there?  Phantom limb pain.  Go team!
